It comes with a sad and heavy heart to announce at this time, 2nd FORCE RECONNAISSANCE will officially be DECOMMISSIONED as a tactical gaming clan. We have a long history to be proud of, to include one of the longest lasting life spans of the tactical gaming clans. The decision to decommission the clan comes with unanimous agreement by the Officers of the clan.
It is common in real military life to see the decommission of a unit, to later reactivate them if the need arises. This has historically occurred with units such as ANGLICO Company, 1st Battalion 9th Marines, and even our namesake, 2nd Force Reconnaissance.
I will keep ever vigilant to the horizon for future gaming platforms that may revitalize the interest in our beloved clan. At such time, I will make attempts to ACTIVATE the clan once again.
To follow is the final promotion warrant given in 2nd Force Reconnaissance.

Major Moose and Captain MF2. With great admiration towards your dedication, resolve, and love for this clan in your duties as Commanding Officer and Executive Officer, I do hereby appoint thee the rank of BRIGADIER GENERAL. You shall be retired at such rank, and if there is a future reactivation of the clan, you shall be then reduced to the Command Function of the rank of Colonel.
Congratulations and I thank you from the bottom of my heart in the attempts to further continue the vision of what was 2nd Force Reconnaissance.

To those that do not understand the General rank structure in this clan. It is given to those that have held the billet of Commanding Officer and/or Executive Officer. It is merely an honorary title that shows the dedication these individuals have taken out of their personal lives on the myriad of issues it take to run a clan.
I thank them for their support and dedication.
This is a very sad moment for me my friends. This was my FAMILY that I helped to create. It is as if I'm standing at the funeral of a loved-one.
Keep hope alive, and focused on the future. Perhaps some day, you will receive that call to once again stand on the Yellow Footprints; stand up, buckle up, shuffle to the door, jump on out and shout Marine Corps....free-falling to your destination, hooking and jabbing your way to your objective, then extract and swim home.
